Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

Description: Short-term disability provides a percentage of income for three months. It begins the 30th day for illness under a physician's care. After three months, long-term disability provides 60 percent of base salary.
 
Eligibility: First of month following six months of employment for full-time employees.
 
Cost per pay period: Provided by Bon Secours St. Francis Health System.
 

Voluntary Short-Term Disability

Description: Voluntary short-term disability provides 60 percent of base salary after a seven calendar-day elimination period. After 30 days, becomes basic short-term disability coverage.
 
Eligibility: First of month following six months of employment for full-time employees.
 
Cost per pay period: Calculation based on base salary and hours worked.
